LIGHTHOUSE IN LONG POINTThis lighthouse sits on Erie Blvd in Long Point mid way to the end of the point where there still exists an operating lighthouse to guide great lakes shipping past the end of the point. The lighthouse above was also used to guide lake freighters around the lake away from Long Point. This lighthouse has not been used commercially in many years and was sold to a private owner many years ago. It sat dormant for many years in its original state. The lighthouse now has been in a stste of renovation for several years now and has become a very important focal point for camera buffs and tourists. It has been transformed into a permaanent residence without destroying its original charm. A breezeway and guest quarters were added in the most recent renovation.
